Mendoza, Central-Western Region. The Finca Don Otaviano is located in the Central-Western Region of Viniculture in Argentina. Mendoza is known not only for its high production of over 70% of the grapes in the country, but also for the high quality of its products and noteworthy and increasing participation in the international market.
In the past few decades, the wine industry in Argentina has achieved a high degree of development. Improvements of the vines themselves have become evident, which allows the production of quality wines. Furthermore, the combination of technology and human resources has helped the Argentinean wines to achieve sucess in the world.
The areas where vineyards are cultivated are, like oases, located close to the most important mountain rivers, which supply them with the necessary water for the irrigation of the plantations. In the Central-Western Region ('Centro-Oeste), the following areas can be distinguished: North ('Norte'), Central ('Centro'), the Uco Vallley ('Vale del Uco') and South ('Sul'). Our Finca is located in the Region of Central-Mendoza, Luján de Cujo, Agrelo. Offering extraordinary natural conditions for viniculture, it corresponds with the area that has historically been known as the First Area ('Primeira Zona') renowned for the quality of its wines.
Stretching for 1,360 meters from north to south and 504 meters east to west, it is located at 300 meters from International Route 7 which connects Mendoza with Chile.
