Silver Medal in Decanter World Wine Awards 2007 London

Penedo Borges Malbec Merlot 2004 Wins Silver Medal in Decanter World Wine Awards 2007 – London

In 2007 we submitted the Penedo Borges Malbec Merlot 2004 to the annual evaluation of the prestigious London based magazine Decanter. Decanter magazine is considered the world's most important wine magazine.

This was the first time that a wine from Finca Don Otaviano participated in an international competition, and it competed with 7642 wines. The Penedo Borges Malbec Merlot 2004 was awarded a Silver Medal. According to the criteria of the competition, this means that the wine ranked between very good and excellent.

It is interesting to note that amongst the Argentinean wines to be awarded the Silver Medal in this competition, there were also some super premiums wines such as  Alpha Crux from O. Fournier, and the Malbec and Zuccardi Q Tempranillo.  This is further proof that Finca Don Otaviano’s objective is to produce high quality wines at affordable prices.
